VISSAN Import Export Corporation

Vissan is a state-owned company affiliated to the Sai Gon Trading Cooperation. It was first built on November 20, 1970 and put into operating on May 18, 1974.

Its entire structure is built on 20 hectares of island, with total capital amounted to over 300 billions VND. It has a staff of 2,500 managers, officers and workers. Its facilities, frozen stores and offices were designed and built solidly to meet the demand of big production in the long run.


Scope of activity

Its activities cover processing and trading of fresh and frozen meat, and processed foods from meat. Vissan’s products have gained firm hold on the market, and with its sales and market share, Vissan is recognized as the nation’s leading in trade and meat industry.
Apart from the raw materials sourced from its own subsidiary enterprise, Vissan has ample supply of livestock from the Western Nam Bo and Mekong Region and regions in its proximity.

Productive ability

Vissan is a big enterprise fully equipped with modern production chains including:

- Three pig slaughter chains of capacity about 2,400 heads per shift ( 6 hours).
- Two cattle slaughter chains of capacity about 300 cattle per shift ( 6 hours).
- Meat processing chain: sausage, jambon, smoked meat with capacity 3.000 tons/year.
- Sterilization sausage of capacity machines (KAP) 8.500 ton/year.
- Traditional foods tuffs: spring-roll, Chinese sausage ... 8.000 ton/year.
- A frozen system capacity about 100 tons per day.
- A cold system capacity about 1000 tons.
- A preservation holding yard that can hold 10,000 pigs and 4,000 cattle.
- A chain of meat processing capable of producing 5,000 tons of meat per year with equipment
  imported form France, Germany and European.

  markets that manage 300 shops.
